Bats and then crows as the dawn broke behind heavy fog.

I had a first today: I wore my helmet during the session. Even with pads (personally) required as a part of plans to shred the bowl at my local park somewhere in the future, it seemed right to get used to wearing at least the helmet.
The sense that knee pads and, in picky conditions, other protective gear could carry me a long way was evident as soon as I started to roll, too.
Next time: knee pads and learning to fall. Then, we’ll see.
While I like the rad attitude in skating, that devil may care vibe, I like my body parts where they are.
