Had the day’s blue sky to myself.
Decided to wait a couple hours after sunrise to let the warm light melt the frost and its residual wetness. By the time I got to the park it was empty and dry: perfect.
By the feel of it, it’d been weeks since I skated at all and months since I skated consistently. My legs felt like logs all morning, though I managed to stay on the concrete for a little over an hour.
Nothing new today. Even let go of a few regular moves. I did work on some fundamentals, though. In the end, it felt good to get outside after realizing how much I miss the sunrise skate sessions.
